Experience Liverpool city centre in style at this truly unique mansion house overlooking historic Princes Park. Bursting with character, history, and wow factor, the property features vast living spaces, stunning period details, and an enormous private garden. Step through the back gate straight into Princes Park, while Liverpool’s top attractions — including Albert Dock, Liverpool Cathedral, Anfield, and vibrant Lark Lane — are all within easy reach. A rare stay not to be missed!

Good to know

You will access the property via it's own gated entrance and there is off road free driveway parking available. Once you have arrived, the entrance is via a private black gate which will be locked (not via the main building entrance), up a short flight of stairs to your own front door. The keys will be secured in a lock box next to the black gate and a code will be shared with confirmed guest shortly before their arrival via Airbnb messaging with the hosts. On entry you will be greeted by a huge open plan living room with dinning and kitchen areas, backing onto private garden. The main living space has floor to ceiling windows/ doors with original shutters. The lounge area has one sofa, a lounge chair and many cushions to relax by the wood burner Infront of the TV. The dining area seats up to 8 people but there is also a large oak counter in kitchen area where you can also sit to eat and drink. *Note, there is no ground floor WC or bathroom. Both bathrooms are located on the first floor* Downstairs you will find a gallery room with unique quirky art pieces. There is also a work space, plus a cinema type room and basic gym. The gym also has a washing machine and dryer. Upstairs you have 2 large bedrooms with King beds, one of these has a traditional ensuite bathroom with a roll top bath tub. The first floor also hosts the shower room and a study room/ small bedroom with a sofa bed. The top floor has a further two double bedrooms. The garden is very big, especially for a city center location. It has a large patio area with seating area for up to 8. The remainder of the garden is lawn, trees and shrubbery with a small gate to directly access Princes Park

Other Details to Note

Originally an old Georgian mansion house. This is an old period property so if you are after a modern high spec place, this probably isn't for you. Some of its features are one of a kind such as the solid oak window shutters which have been restored on electric rollers. It has wonderful large original windows so in the winter months, it can get cold despite the central heating. To help with this there are multiple mobile electric heaters are available to keep things toasty. From an accessibility standpoint please note, there are a set of steps leading up to the entrance and no ground floor bathroom or WC. Both bathrooms are located on the first floor.

The place is magical, beautiful with lots of history behind, feels like home and its just comfortable and spacious, we had lot of space and a fantastic garden to enjoy the great weather that we had. I would definitely come back and recommend this place for your stay in Liverpool. James was super helpful and very kind, even borrowed us a guitar to enjoy our time.

We had a great stay in this wonderful mansion. The living area was vast and the bedrooms were great. Yes it’s draughty as any large place is, but the heaters and log burner work a treat. Great for a trip out to Lark Lane and not far from the city centre so it ticks all boxes. It is a very unique place with many quirky features which added an extra element to our stay - including a cinema room! Thank you to James and Amy for their prompt responses to any questions we had 👍

the house has free off road parking, the nearest station is St Michaels but given the central location you may want to walk, or uber, it'd be less than £5 and 5 minutes into the centre of town
